About Me
Md. Ataur Rahman is serving as a faculty member in the Department of Pharmacy at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU), Bangladesh. He is renowned for his unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovative research, and student development. Born (on 05 June 1993) into a respected Muslim family in the Rajshahi district of Bangladesh, he cultivated values of honesty, hard work, and community service from an early age. His journey from a small-town upbringing to becoming an inspiring educator reflects his perseverance, integrity, and passion for knowledge.
His educational journey began in a village, where he completed his secondary school education. Demonstrating academic promise, he later moved to Rajshahi Collegiate School and College, one of Bangladesh’s most famous institutions, to pursue his Higher Secondary Certificate. His thirst for knowledge led him to Jahangirnagar University, where he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Pharmacy, laying a robust foundation for his future career.
As a faculty member at MBSTU, Mr. Rahman has become a respected figure in the Pharmacy department, known for his dynamic teaching techniques and ability to bridge theoretical concepts with real-world applications. Colleagues and students alike admire his honesty, approachability, and dedication to inspiring critical thinking and innovation. Beyond the classroom, he actively engages in cutting-edge research, focusing on areas such as Pharmacology, Toxicology, Nanotechnology, In silico Drug Discovery, and Public Health challenges relevant to Bangladesh. His work envisions the use of science to uplift communities with affordable and accessible healthcare solutions.
Mr. Rahman’s commitment extends beyond academics. He takes pride in mentoring and guiding students through research projects, extracurricular activities, and career planning. Rooted in the cultural and ethical values of his upbringing, Mr. Rahman balances professionalism with humility. His journey from a village in Rajshahi to a respected faculty member underscores his belief in education as a transformative force. Colleagues describe him as a collaborative team player, while students revere him as a compassionate mentor who prioritizes their growth. As Md. Ataur Rahman continues to contribute to academia and research; his story remains a beacon of dedication, proving that integrity, hard work, and a passion for empowering others can create a lasting impact in the pharmaceutical sciences and beyond.
Research Interest
My research interests encompass Pharmacology and Toxicology, Pharmaceutics, and advanced Drug Delivery Systems, with an emphasis on improving therapeutic safety and efficacy. I am particularly intrigued by Molecular Biology and Biotechnology approaches to elucidate disease pathways and uncover novel drug targets. My focus extends to Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Development, aiming to design and optimize bioactive molecules with clinical potential. I am also interested in Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine to achieve precision-targeted therapies and controlled release mechanisms. Additionally, I explore Phytochemistry for natural product-based therapeutics, linking laboratory discoveries with translational applications to address pressing challenges in Public Health.
